Pioneer's successful operations depend, in part, on the Company's ability to build relationships with government officials and employees based on honesty and integrity. As such, Pioneer participates actively in the political process in order to inform policy makers and regulators about our business and to advocate for policy solutions that mutually benefit the Company, our stockholders and the communities in which we operate.

Under the policy, no Company funds may be used for political contributions in the United States unless permitted by law, approved by either the Chief Executive Officer or the Chief Operating Officer, and approved by either the General Counsel or Chief Compliance Officer.
