Released in May of 2012, a baseline study titled “The Economic Impact of the Eagle Ford Shale,” by the Center for Community and Business Research at the University of Texas at San Antonio, outlines the remarkable influence the oil and gas industry has had in the Eagle Ford Shale play, contributing $25 billion in total economic output.

What’s more, the increased revenue from the Eagle Ford Shale operations provides funding for new resources throughout the area, such as schools and hospitals, which would, in turn, create a projected 117,000 full-time jobs. These conclusions offer a glimpse of potential future regional success and illustrate the power and possibilities behind the community partnership.
